Jaffe Legal News Service (JLNS)

The Jaffe Legal News Service (JLNS) is a weekly e-mail tip sheet sent to reporters and editors who cover the legal industry or who rely on legal experts as part of their reporting. It is a unique way for law firms and members of the legal industry to put their news and the expertise of their attorneys and executives in front of more than 800 members of the media who have opted to receive the JLNS and who depend on it as a valuable source for story ideas and legal analysis. Please visitwww.jlns.com to read the current issue and archives of our news feed, which is distributed every Thursday morning.

How does it work? Each JLNS issue features three sections:

  • Law Firm News Law Firm News reproduces, in their entirety, press releases issued by law firms, detailing new hires, office openings, significant victories and other firm news or events. Reporters may then choose to run the announcement in their publications. Law firms may submit their releases for free, and we do not charge for distribution in this section.

  • Top Stories provides the media with several sources willing to comment on current news and legal issues. Items are short, typically three to five sentences, and contain both a brief description of the issue being discussed and a quote from you, the expert source. Journalists then contact Jaffe in order to set up an interview. Jaffe arranges the interview on your behalf, assists with any preparation you need, and tracks the story placement.

  • Articles for Publication offers editors a rich collection of materials and topics available for publication. This section is composed of brief "teasers" describing articles that attorneys have written or are willing to write, along with information about the author and an illustrative quote. Editors then contact Jaffe in order to learn more about the article concept, and to establish deadlines for submissions. Jaffe coordinates the article placement and can even ghostwrite the article upon request through Jaffe's WritersForLawyers.
